Thoughts from Locos x Rails

Locos x Rails

Last Friday/Saturday I was attending the first Ruby on Rails conf in Argentina: Locos x Rails. I have to say that it was excellent and it was a pleasure for me being part of the event. I had the opportunity to meet great people (I’ve only know most of them in a “virtual way”, through an email list, reading theirs blog or following them on Twitter).

About the speakers and the topics treated, they were pretty nice and I learned some really useful and cool things that I’ll be posting soon (keep on the way :)).

I hope this kind of events could be done often in our country. I know we’re still a small community of Railers here but we’re growing up.

My congrats to all the organizers.. well done!!

Finally on the road

2 April 2009

Finally after a loooong time since I created this blog I’m starting to write down and post something. This first post is intended to be an introduction of myself and a way to “break the ice” and start to write something.

Although I’m too lazy sometimes, I promise you to be more regular from today and try to post any thought, hack or tip I find useful at least for me. The idea behind this blog is like any other Tech blog you find around the web: just a place to learn and share knowledge with the community.

Most of the time I’ll be writing about Ruby, Rails and programming posts but maybe also I’ll be posting off-topic issues related to maths, problems, humor, etc.

About the language, my native tongue is spanish as you may know, but I know english is more common and more used in the programming world so most of the I’ll be writing in english.

Well… I’m tired of write 😛

See you in the next (more useful) post.
